Featuring self-help, non-fiction and business books that motivate and empower tweens, teens and parents
I’m so excited about the idea of exposing children to the knowledge and experience of top thought leaders, innovators, storytellers, entrepreneurs and business moguls! I came up with the idea for the club because one of my goals last yer was to spend more time reading. As I read, I thought about how amazing it would have been to gain some of this knowledge and life lessons during my younger years. So I offered my daughter the opportunity to read along with me and the book club was born!
How it works
Every other month, I will choose a new book selection. We will all read the book and on a designated day and time, we will get together on Facebook live to discuss the book and share thoughts on what we’ve learned. Click the link to join the book club and learn more!

Other Great Reads for Women
These are a few other great books that have given me quite a few “aha” moments…
She’s Still There: Rescuing the Girl in You
What’s a woman to do if her life is not taking shape the way that she thought that it would? What happens when she looks at herself in the mirror, lingering just a little longer than usual and realizes that she no longer recognizes the person staring back at her? What does she do when she sees that, somehow, her life has drifted away from all her original hopes, dreams, or plans? Speaker, blogger and writer Chrystal Evans Hurst uses her poignant story of an early and unexpected pregnancy, as well as other raw and vulnerable moments in her life, to let readers know she understands what it’s like to try and find your way after some missteps or decisions you didn’t plan on.
Playing Big: Practical Wisdom for Women Who Want to Speak Up, Create, and Lead
In her coaching and programs for women, Tara Mohr saw how women were “playing small” in their lives and careers, were frustrated by it, and wanted to “play bigger.” She has devised a proven way for them to achieve their dreams by playing big from the inside out. While not all women aspire to end up in the corner office, every woman aspires to something. Playing Big fills a major gap among women’s career books; it isn’t just for corporate women. The book offers tools to help every woman play bigger—whether she’s an executive, community volunteer, artist, or stay-at-home mom.
Paulo Coelho’s masterpiece tells the mystical story of Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd boy who yearns to travel in search of a worldly treasure. His quest will lead him to riches far different—and far more satisfying—than he ever imagined. Santiago’s journey teaches us about the essential wisdom of listening to our hearts, of recognizing opportunity and learning to read the omens strewn along life’s path, and, most importantly, to follow our dreams.
