Since today is National Cookie Day (yes, there really is such a thing), I decided to try a new cookie recipe. I made them last night and sent them to school for Journey’s class to enjoy.

Since the recipe for my Sweet Potato Cornbread was such a big hit, I thought I’d post the recipe for my Sweet Potato Biscuits. These sweet buttery biscuits are a great alternative to the usual dinner rolls and perfect for breakfast or brunch as well. You can even save some time by making them in advance.
This week I’ve been preparing for the 7 hour drive ahead of us to get home for Thanksgiving. Each time we take this trip, I pack an arsenal of stuff to keep the kid occupied during the ride. But no matter what she has going on in the back seat, she still manages to ask me the dreaded question, “Are we there yet?” at least once an hour. Then she spends the next 5 minutes whining about how it is “going to take forever!” and blah, blah, blah.
